Stephen L. Bass, DDS, MS
Diplomate
of the American Academy of Periodontology
Dr. Bass' commitment to excellence has been evident throughout his studies
and dental health career. After earning his undergraduate Bachelor of
Science Degree in Biology from Southwestern University at Georgetown in
1985, he obtained his Doctorate of Dental Surgery Degree from San Antonio's
University of Texas Health Science Center-- graduating 3rd in his class
of 97. In 1993, he graduated with a 4.0 from UTHSC's dual certification
program, simultaneously earning his Periodontics Graduate Certification
and Master of Science degree. Since then, he's completed an average of
60 hours per year in continuing education studies, with heavy emphasis
on both periodontics and implantologyincluding the renowned Panke
Institute and the Shuster Center for Professional Development; and an
additional 20 hours annually in practice management concepts. Dr. Bass
also served for two years as part-time Associate Clinical Professor in
the Periodontics Department at Baylor Dental College in Dallas, Texas;
he currently teaches quarterly seminars to area hygienists on various
clinical periodontal topics.
Dr. Bass has maintained his private periodontics/implant practice since
1995. In all that he does, he maintains a primary focus on caring
for his patients with dedication to their best interests, seeking to obtain
the very best possible outcome for their particular situation. This patient-centered
focus is a natural outcome of his Christian faith, which reflects all
that he does both professionally and personally. Dr. Bass is also a committed
husband and father, an elder in his church, and enjoys bicycle riding,
working out, playing golf, and reading.
Memberships, Honors, & Publications
Dr. Bass maintains a high level of involvement in his field, holding
numerous offices within both academic and professional organizations.
And as a result of his hard work and ongoing study, he's continually obtained
honors and awards of all kinds throughout his
career. Further, a study on implant success rates was published in the
Clinical Oral Implantology Research Journal. There are also two published
research abstracts.

Ellen Hall, DDS, MS
Diplomate of the American Academy of Periodontology
Dr. Ellen Hall's caring attitude and love of dentistry has motivated
her to become highly trained in the art and science of cosmetic and
surgical Periodontics. She is a Board Certified Periodontist and Diplomate
of the American Academy of Periodontology.
She believes that this certification is proof of her extensive education
and training in the field of Dentistry and Periodontics and of her
commitment to performing the latest procedures and methods of treatment.
She
is a graduate of Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science
degree. Dr. Hall completed her dental and specialty training in Periodontics
at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio,
where she received her Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) and Masters
in Science (M.S.). While at the University of Texas Health Science
Center at San Antonio, Dr. Hall's commitment to her profession was
rewarded
when she was recognized with the International Congress
of Oral Implantologists Pre-Doctoral Achievement Award.
To provide
for the comfort other patients and to reduce their pain and anxiety
during and after surgery, Dr. Hall practices both oral
and IV
conscious sedation or "Sleep Dentistry". In order to
ensure the safety other patients, Dr. Hall has received and continues
to
receive additional training in Advanced Cardio-Life Support and
is certified
in IV and Conscious Sedation.
Dr. Hall is also committed to teaching
the next generation of dental professionals. Dr. Hall serves
as an Associate Clinical Professor in the Periodontics Department at
Baylor
College of Dentistry where she enjoys sharing
her knowledge
and surgical skills. Dr. Hall is also a frequent speaker at Continuing
Education classes and is a guest lecturer at Tarrant County Community
College Dental Hygiene School. She has published articles in professional
journals relating to dental
implants and
bone regeneration.
Dr. Hall is a Past President of the Texas Association
of Women Dentists, San Antonio Chapter as well as President of Denton
County Dental
Society Study Club. She has also served as Clinician/Session
Host Chairman for
the Southwest Dental Conference and has served on the membership
committees of both the Dallas County Dental Society and theSouthwest
Society of
Periodontology and currently serves as an alternate Delegate
to the Texas Dental Association. Currently
she is honored
to serve on the Dallas County Dental Society Peer Review Committee.
Dr. Hall's husband, Curt, is Vice President of
Sales and Marketing at Navigator Communications. Together
they both
enjoy working
out, playing golf and spending time with their son, Charles and daughter, Catherine. They are
active members of their church where they continue to serve
and volunteer
their time.
